The 2006 United States Austrian Wine Challenge427 Austrian wines were tested at this reknowned wine tasting. We were able to achieve several accolades for our wines including 3 gold and 3 silver medals:
Grüner Veltliner Ersesenes 2005 - gold, 91 points (2nd place)
Grüner Veltliner Kremser Weinberge 2005 - gold, 90 points
(this relatively light GV with only 12% alcohol succeeded ahead of many more powerful examples!)
Grüner Veltliner Eiswein 2006 - gold, 90 points
Yet further confirmation of our quality by the Beverage Tasting Institute.

The success of our 2005 vintage continues. Grüner Veltliner Frechau 2005 reached the finals for the best full-bodied Veltliners in Austria.
Our Grüner Veltliner Eiswein 2005 was awarded a gold medal twice by independent juries at 2 different international competitions: the German Wine Prize at the Palace Hotel in Berlin on November 26th, 2006 and at the Austrian Wine Challenge in Vienna (over 5000 wines).
The 2006 Vintage
The 2006 harvest is concluded. Exceptional weather in September and October brought us full physiological ripeness and very healthy grapes. We can expect a superb vintage.
Accolades for Veltiner and Riesling
The new German language gourmet magazine "wein.pur" held a professional blind tasting of the best Grüner Veltliners and Rieslings of the Krems Valley. Our wines brought us the best total results of any winery in this competition. You can read more in the wein.pur magazine or in our website section "Press".
After long consideration and many rough drafts, we have finally decided on a clear and distinctive design.
Rhine bottles form rays of the sun, which is logically our central element in winemaking. The bottle form also represents our selection of autochthon grape varieties - 75% of our vineyards are planted with Grüner Veltliner. The color silver reflects the elegance and finesse of our wines.
